To absolutely no one’s surprise, Google’s search-result AI summaries have led to a drop in traffic for everyone, Ars included. Google does allow users to designate specific websites as a preferred source, which makes their stories more likely to appear on the “Top Stories” section of Google searches.
If you use Google and are willing to set Ars as a Preferred Source, simply click on the icon that looks like a black box with a white star. From there, you can enter Ars Technica (and any other site you love and want to support) in the text box and select it as a preferred source.
